"Art had been working with me for a whole year with his initial goal of returning to compete at a high level in CrossFit that he had in the past. Art was very performance driven and worked harder than anyone I know with the time commitment in his training. We made it to the CrossFit Open and he CRUSHED IT! Went on to qualify for the CrossFit Games this year (2023) and his training ticked up a whole extra level from there.

A couple weeks out from competing at the Games, Art suffered a heart attack after training and ended up in the hospital. My heart dropped hearing this. From there our focus shifted entirely to maintaining as much muscle mass as possible while doing what activity he was cleared to do and being the most compliant cardiac rehab patient.

I am thankful to have guided Art through his recovery and guiding his mindset. Art is a champion in many ways and is working his way back stronger than ever."
